MEGAN AND CHRIS CURREN:Wife and husband duo Megan and Chris Curren bring decades ofhospitality experience to their debut concept The Graceful Ordinary,a convivial upscale American restaurantsituated in charming St. Charles, IL. A graduate of the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Chris launched hisculinary career in 2002 working in kitchens throughout the Cleveland area alongside acclaimed Chef BruceKalman(Spiaggia, UNION, Knead & Co. Pasta Bar + Market)and at celebrated contemporary American restaurantThree Birds. After relocating to Chicago, he opened critically renowned fine-dining concept Blue 13 where heserved as executive chef/owner before moving on to helm the kitchens of some of the city’s premier hospitalitycollectives and independent concepts. Born and raised inthe Chicagoland area, Megan entered the hospitalityindustry in 2004 after moving to the city. Over the ensuing years, she would hold numerous positions at nightlifeconcepts within Bonhomme Hospitality Group(Beatnix, Beatnix on the River, Celeste, DISCO)along with time spenthandling weddings and social events for Entertainment Cruises. The two met through mutual friends in 2010,eventually relocatingto the Fox River Valleywhere they would pursue their longtime goal of opening arestaurant together. With Chris serving as executive chef/owner and Megan as event sales manager, The GracefulOrdinary provides the community with a welcoming space to gather and socialize while enjoying an elevated, yetapproachable menu of refined rustic cuisine.
