Frequently Asked Questions
Dinner FAQ’s
How do I get a menu?
Dinner menus will be released approximately 30 days prior to the dinner. However, in some cases we may not see menus until much closer to the event.
What kind of food is served?
Chef’s create their menus and food style is not determined by Farrand Hall. Food styles range from experimental to casual. Farrand Hall does not guarantee that every menu, every dish or every chef will meet individual expectations. Menus are typically meat focused. Farrand Hall does not determine food quantities and guests should expect what is typical of a higher end experience. However, each chef is different and that makes each experience for the guest different as well.
What if I have Dietary Restrictions?
We can not accommodate dietary restrictions for any dinners. Our menus tend to be meat heavy. We can not accommodate the following: Gluten Free, Vegan, in most cases vegetarian. Please ask prior to purchasing tickets.
Purchasing Tickets
Tickets are non refundable. However, if you can’t make the dinner, you can give or resell your tickets to someone else. Saturday night Guest Chef tickets are 100% non refundable regardless of how far in advance you know you can’t attend. We highly recommend gifting your tickets to friends or family if you can’t make it. Please email us and let us know the names of the new guests. Tickets are digital and you will not get physical tickets.
Will there be any communication prior to the dinner?
You will get an email on the Monday prior to your dinner with all the details you need for the Saturday guest chef dinners. For weekday dinners, all communication needed is in the confirmation email you will get after purchasing tickets.
Wine & Beer
We offer a rotating selection of wines by the glass and bottle as well as craft beers. Prices range from $12-$30 a glass and $22-$115 a bottle. This can be purchased once on site before and throughout the dinner at the counter. Bottle sales only on Saturday dinners. BYOB for members only in 2024.
Waitlist
We do not keep a waitlist. However, if tickets become available we will repost to the website and to social media.
Seating
Dinners are organized in either one or two long communal tables. We do not offer private tables. If you are coming with a group please email us PRIOR to the date of your dinner and let us know the names in your group so we can ensure you sit together.
Ticket Price
Tickets range from $90 to $165+ and include 5 courses. Style and quantity of food is based on the visiting chef. Some special dinners may have a higher ticket price. Gratuity is included in the ticket price, but guests are welcome to add or leave additional gratuities for the staff. Taxes will be added at check out. Please note that ticket price is not just reflective of food, but also the cost to run the estate Farrand Hall.
Can Children Attend?
We recommend that dinners are enjoyed by adults who understand the food style and duration of these experiences. However, if you believe a dinner is appropriate for your child then you can certainly buy a ticket for them.
How Long Are The Dinners?
Saturday dinners start at 6pm and generally end about 8:30-9pm. You may arrive as early as 5pm and enjoy the property. In some cases, dinners may last longer and we will try to make that clear in the email you receive. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday dinners start at 6:30pm and you can arrive between 5:30-6:30pm.
Where do we park?
Park on Timber Run Trail along the Farrand Hall side. This is a private road so please be mindful of noise and do not wonder onto neighbors properties.
Do I Dress Up?
Dress in whatever manner makes you comfortable for the evening. Keep in mind that dinners may be outdoors and you’ll be walking in grass, gravel and on concrete. Sometimes it is hot and sometimes it is chilly. All part of the experience of dinning with us.
Rain?
When weather does not permit dinners will be indoors.
Price of Ticket
The price of a dinner ticket at Farrand Hall reflects all expenses that go into making an experience like this possible and not just food.
What happens if a Chef Cancels?
In the rare case that a scheduled chef can no longer do their dinner, the Farrand Hall chefs will fill in. We do not refund tickets in this case.
